How to play higher or lower
A card is turned face up. Guess whether the next card will be higher or lower. Get it right and your streak grows; get it wrong and it starts again from zero. Aces are high, so an ace is beaten by nothing and a 2 is beaten by everything.
If the next card has the same rank, it is a tie and your streak is safe. Your best streak is saved in your browser so you can try to beat it later.
A little strategy
The middle cards are the hardest. With a 7 or 8 showing, the odds are close to even. With a low card always guess higher and with a high card guess lower. Remembering which cards have already gone gives you an extra edge as the deck runs down.
